FAQ'S

WHERE CAN I GET TICKETS?

RIGHT HERE!

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?

No, there is no age restriction although we do suggest ages 16+ due to slight nudity, mature subject matter and colorful audience call-backs. Parental guidance is also an option; although it could be a bit awkward watching people get it on with your kids sitting next to you… So, think about it. We always say: mature audiences only!

ARE PROPS ALLOWED?

Nope! We ask that NO messy props be brought into the theater. Our security will frisk you upon entry and confiscate anything they deem inappropriate. No rice, toast, hot dogs, confetti, water guns, candles/lighters, toilet paper, etc. Nothing that would be thrown beyond your seat will be allowed. The safety of our actors and equipment is #1!!!

You may, however, bring props like newspapers, rubber gloves, noisemakers, bells and other fun things that stay safely in your seat. And in replace of a lighter or open flame – use your cell phone, flashlight or glowsticks!

WHAT ARE VIRGINS OR DOUBLE VIRGINS?

Virgins are people who have never seen The Rocky Horror Show LIVE! Double Virgins are people who have never seen the live show OR the movie!!!

IS THIS A SHADOW CAST PERFORMANCE?

No! This is a LIVE theater production. There is no movie or screen. Just live actors, live musicians, and a whole lot of fun.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ROCKY HORROR LIVE AND THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is what most people think of when they hear Rocky Horror. This is the 1975 movie starring Tim Curry. There are sometimes shadow cast performances where real actors act in front of a screen while the movie plays.

The Rocky Horror Show LIVE is a live theater performance. There is no movie. It’s a rock musical featuring live musicians and actors. (And we think its way more fun. But shhhh don’t tell Tim Curry!)

WE TOOK A PICTURE IN YOUR PHOTOBOOTH. WHERE CAN WE FIND IT?

All of our photobooth pictures can be found on our Facebook! Feel free to tag yourself and share with your friends!

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT PHOTOBOOTH PICTURES?

Please allow us a week after the event to get photos edited and uploaded. We promise to do it as quickly as we can!

WHAT CHARITY ARE YOU CURRENTLY BENEFITING?

In 2014, Rocky For Equality partnered with the Augusta Colonial Theater. We’ve agreed to donate a portion of our proceeds to them every year until the theater is restored! Once it’s built, we’ll have a permanent stage to call home!

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

The first step is to “Like” us on Facebook. This will keep you up to date on all our happenings! If you have something specific you’d like to help with, shoot us an email! We love volunteers!

DO I HAVE TO DRESS UP?

No, of course not! But we strongly encourage it!

SHOULD I DRESS UP?

Absolutely!!!!! (Or dress down if you know what we mean…)

OK, YOU'VE CONVINCED ME. NOW WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Anything! And the less, the better! Just make sure you’re not breaking any nudity laws! Most people go for the classic corset with fishnets, but you can dress as your favorite character or strut your stuff in your favorite lingerie. Cross dressing is fun, too, and we love drag queens!!!

WHAT ARE “CALLBACKS”?

Callbacks are words or phrases the audiences yells back at the actors. For example, every time Brad Majors introduces himself, the audience yells out “ASSHOLE!” There are many scripts online where you can find the universal callbacks, or you can make up your own! We only ask that you play nice and don’t shout anything personal or mean at our actors.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENERAL ADMISSION AND VIP TICKETS?

General Admission tickets are first come, first serve. Show up early if you want a good seat! Or, spend the extra money and upgrade to our VIP section! VIPs get extra love from our actors, special reserved seating and their very own goodie bags!

CAN WE TOUCH THE ACTORS?

No! But they can (and will) touch you!!!

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES DURING THE SHOW?

No, no, no and NO! We ask you to please respect our cast and do not take photos of them during the performances. They may pose with you after the show, IF they choose to. I’m willing to bet you wouldn't want strangers taking photos of you in your underwear, and they don’t want that either!

HOW OFTEN DO YOU DO THE SHOW?

Our goal is to make this an annual tradition! We plan to hit the stage every summer, and may even throw some surprise performances in as well!

HOW DO I AUDITION?

Make sure you “Like” our Facebook and/or sign up for our Email list! We’ll be sure to post audition information as soon as it’s available! We welcome all levels of talent, 18+. Auditions will consist of you singing a song from the show and reading from the script. We may also ask you to dance and give us your best sex eyes.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO AUDITION?

YOU MUST BE 18 TO AUDITION FOR OUR SHOW!!! No exceptions! This is something RFE feels strongly about. We don’t want any minors shaking their goodies all up in your faces. Adults only, please.

CAN I SING ALONG?

Sure can! Real lyrics, callbacks, humming, you name it!

WHAT’S YOUR ALCOHOL POLICY?

Rocky Horror is a grand old time, especially if you’re drinking, but please be respectful of our venue and the law. There is absolutely NO outside alcohol allowed into our venues. Those of you who are 21+ may purchase from the bar, with ID, if the venue sells booze. Just please be safe!
