WHERE & WHEN:

As we continue our search for cast members, we have decided to open tomorrow's workshop to the public as an open audition.

"Hips & Heels Dance Workshop/Auditions"
Wed, May 30 | 6-9 PM | YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston

Join our choreographer, Jake Boyce, for this open workshop on how to dance and emote through heels. Please wear comfortable clothing and heels to dance in. 3 inches or higher is preferred, or bring whatever you have. Men, too! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FULL ANKLE SUPPORT! Safety is of the utmost importance. If you do not have heels, that is alright. Please join us regardless! We will use this time to work on dance technique, as well as asking some of you to sing as we continue auditioning for some of the lead roles.

We ask that you prepare a song from the show and be prepared for cold readings and choreography.

*If you are unable to make this date but are still interested in auditioning, please send us an email or message us on Facebook

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Each person auditioning will be asked to sing a song from the show, read from the script, and learn a bit of choreography that we will teach you. All of the available roles are listed below along with the song we ask you to prepare.

**Please note – While we do love the movie, this is a LIVE performance. There is no movie playing behind you and no shadow cast. This is the full length musical production with live actors and a live band. This is also a ROCK musical. Strong rock vocals are encouraged, as well as expressing the character in your own way. We love Tim Curry – but please no impressions! We want to see how YOU would play the characters! Some characters may be doubled and some genders may be flexible.
